The day was cold and windy as 22 Marian shooters trekked to Bellevue for the first trap shoot
of the 2006 season. There were 370 shooters in attendance for this North Division meet with more
than 50 full high school squads in the competition.

In the sixteen yard event Squad Blue consisting of Sarah
Morgan, Rachel Miller, Nora Kiteley, Kathleen Doyle and Katie Stockdale tied for
second place. Their team score of 223 was five targets behind Creighton Prep who took
first in the event.
Katie Stockdale took first in the Ladies 16 yard division with Nora Kiteley and Rachel Miller tied for second. By the time shootoff's were announced it was dark. Nora won the shootoff to take the second place medal. In handicaps, freshman Gabi Quiroz came in fourth in the ladies division. Many of the team from last year returned to offer support encouragement and coaching for the new team.
