On May 6th 2005, 17 members of the Marian Trap Team made the trip to
Doniphan Nebraska to shoot in the Cornhusker National High School Trap
Shoot.
Almost 1,500 shooters participate over the three days of the meet. The Friday competition saw almost 300 squads competing in the high school singles event. This event consisted of 100 16 yard targets. At the end of the day Katie Stockdale was tied for second place with a 97. The Marian team of Kara Stockdale,Aly Peeler, Sarah Morgan, Rachel Miller and Katie Stockdale finished the day in third place, 15 targets out of first.

The second day events consisted of 100 handicap targets.
The squad of Cathy May, Megan Leonard,
Talia Mangiameli, Kathleen Doyle and
Liz Hopkins had
four shooters who shot personal bests and the squad took the silver.
The squad of Kara Stockdale, Aly Peeler, Sarah Morgan , Rachel Miller and Katie Stockdale took first in the handicap event. |

teams that were ahead of them after the first day.

A history of the Cornhusker Nationals Trap Shoot
