Rain was the word of the day as 13 Marian students participated in the ECTC North Division meet on 03/27/04. The Lincoln Trap & Skeet Club hosted the shooters for the second week in a row.
Sump pumps were required to keep the water from inundating the traps and the shooters. The trap we were scheduled to shoot on stopped working due to the rain and we had to move traps.
Just before we shot the 16 yard event, the rain and wind stopped. As the shooters took the line, the wind gusted to 45 mile per hour and and the the team shot during a horizontal rain storm. The team shot almost 30 rocks better in their handicaps as the rain subsided.
Lincoln recorded the most rain ever for a March 27th during the meet. At least it was not snow. The Prep motor home and tent provided a welcome shelter for the team during the shoot.
