Never too old:
Trick-or-treating's still fun
Laura Hahn
AAAHHH! You scream as you see a large
hooded figure pop out of the bushes. You start to run and you can feel your heart pounding as the
figure gets closer and closer. Finally,
the footsteps stop and you warily turn around only to see your dad dressed
up as Dracula.
Now, you were
six years old and at the time, this was really scary, but as you look back, all
you can do is laugh.
To disguise yourself as something new, scary and exciting
appeals to people of all ages. Just remember your good old dad. I've heard many people say that once
you hit high school, your trick-or-treating days are over. That's not
true. All you have to do is think
of a fun costume, and with little a sewing and quick snip of the scissors,
you're all set.
Once your costume is ready and you've got a pillow case for
all your candy, go out and start ringing doorbells. Wandering around in the dark dressed in a costume, pounding
on your neighbors' doors and asking for free candy on any normal night may seem odd or even scary, but on the
night of Oct. 31, pound on all the doors you want and get as much free candy as
you can.
Whether you're dressed as Dracula, hiding in the bushes or
your favorite movie star, you
are never too old to enjoy Halloween.
It's a holiday for everyone.
