An Ode to Surprise Day Surprise Day, O Surprise Day How many wonders you behold Surprise Day, O Surprise Day Fun for Marian girls, young and old. Monday, Feb. 9th after Mr. Baker's
factors of fear, Co-planners Annie Narzisi and Aminatu Rubango
announced the day was finally here. A mad stampede of girls who followed soon after Proved it truly was Surprise Day (you could tell by
the laughter). Student Board sponsored the treat They gave us games, Saved by the Bell and pizza to eat. Not to mention inflatable courses, which were
really a smash No, literally, with boxing gloves someone's face
you could bash. How to appease teachers whose schedules were shot? Serve them Valentino's and make sure it's hot. To finish the fun, bands Line Out and P2K, What? Boys at Marian? On a school day? Planning of the event started over Christmas break Co-planner junior Ami Rubango gives us her take, "We worked really hard to make sure it was a
special day, so each girl could enjoy it in her own way." What was the reaction from the Marian crew? Let's ask a student, junior Sara Drews, "I expected it just to be Fear Factor day, that when I heard the surprise I was in such
dismay." So thank you Student Board, the afternoon was
delish Fear Factor, Surprise Day and an award for Miss Kish. Now the suspense has passed once more, But what a great Surprise Day in 2004! |
