From where does she come?

-Before teaching at Marian, Sister Margaret taught at a school in Tucson, Arizona.

"The school I taught at in Arizona was twice as large as Marian.  It had about 1400 students.  It was co-ed," said Stratman.

What does she think of Marian?

-"So far, I like Marian a lot," said Stratman.  "It has a very friendly spirit, and it is easier to get to know the girls, because it is a smaller school."

Where did she attend high school and college?

-Sister Margaret is originally from Omaha, and attended Holy Name High School.

"High school was fun.  I was involved in chorus, as well as sodality, which was a service program."  She was also the president of her freshman class.  After high school, Stratman attended Duchesne College.  Duchesne later closed its college, but left open the high school. Stratman finished up her education at Creighton University

How did she decide to enter the convent?

-Stratman decided she wanted to become a nun while she was in high school.

"I knew many of the sisters at Holy Name because I had them for teachers.  I liked their friendliness, and that they were so caring," said Stratman.

What does she like to do in her spare time?

-In her free time, Sister Margaret has many hobbies.

"I enjoy reading, and I love to travel when I can get a chance.  I also like swimming, walking, and yoga.  And I love going to movies," said Stratman.

What are her expectations for this school year?

-"I look forward to getting to know the students and faculty, as well as the Marian experience."
