Q. How long have you had a teaching career?

A. “Well technically only three years, I graduated from college in 1993 but then I went and worked for the Church as a youth minister from 1993 to 2001.”

Q. How long have you been teaching at Marian?

A. “For the last three years.”

Q. What classes do you teach?

A. “Freshman Christ Life.”

Q. Does your day become boring or repetitive since you teach six blocks of the same class everyday?

A. “You would think so but no. Each class has their own personality and they all ask different questions so we discuss different things. It’s almost as though I am teaching a different course every block.”

Q. What is your favorite thing about teaching here at Marian?

A. “I love the fact that the students are so comfortable in this environment. They can be smart, funny, and motivated together without being worried.”

Q. What is the most memorable experience you have had as a teacher here?

A. “During my first year of teaching here a class of mine was having a talk about Jesus’ notion of the Kingdom of God and I asked the students to imagine things and one girl had an eye opening experience during this and I saw her turn around her outlook on life in my class.”

Q. Are you involved in anything else here besides teaching?

A. “Yes, I help coach Cross Country and Track. I also do the retreats.”

Q. Describe your family life.

A. “My wife and I have been married for almost five years, and we just had a baby girl named Josephine Grace. We are both teachers so we come home everyday and talk about all the funny things that happened during the day.”
