Prom

The juniors and seniors sat
huddled together like cattle under the flourescent lights on Wednesday Jan.7
missing their late start. The usual giddy excitement which goes along with the
territory of prom could be felt in the vibrations of murmurs and
speculation. Just what could the
prom theme be? Well ladies, the
time has come for us to find out.
At the Prom Announcement block this year's theme for
prom was unveiled to the masses via a Real World parody video. Una Sera Bella Italia, translating to "A Beautiful Night in Italy." This
years colors, keeping up with the Italian tradition, will be red, black and
white making for quite the traditional dance.
"We have been working really
hard on getting everything together.
Now that the announcement is over I feel like a huge weight was lifted
off my shoulders. All we have to
do now is work on the decorations and getting everything put together," said
Prom Committee member junior Jenn Seidel.
The Prom Committee has been
working very hard since October to make for the ideal prom for all. Everything from the presents for the
Princesses to the D.J. at the dance has to be decided by this group of girls.
"I think that prom will be
fun. It will be the last time that
all of my friends and I get to dance the night away in formal dresses. The prom announcement made me really
excited to go," said senior Christine Sebby.
Sebby has reason to be
excited for Prom this year being that she was one of the nine girls from the
senior class to be named Prom Princess.
Along with Sebby, voted on by the senior class, Christine Geistkemper,
Colleen Kelly, Sarah Lathrop, Jessica McSharry, Brigitte Moland, Maria
Santiago-Garcia, Leslie Selting, and Beth Worthington will represent their
class at prom.
Now that the guessing game
is over, what will the lunch tables will sound like for the next few
weeks? Until April 24, Ciao!
