Dream Interpretation

Ashley Fredericson & Beth Boscardin

The Native Americans believed they were hidden wishes of the soul. The Greeks, Egyptians, and Babylonians believed they were the gods revealing themselves to the people. These godly and spiritual gifts are a very common thing in the average persons day. They just happen to be dreams.

Every night we, or most people, go to sleep. We try to set aside our day's troubles and calm down for the few hours we have before the next day.  Dreams can become the stage where we work out our emotional toils of the day.

The history of dream interpretation dates back to 3000-4000 B.C. They were recorded on clay tablets, by primal societies who were unable to distinguish between the dream world and reality.

In the 1800's dreams were thought of signs as anxiety or indigestion. When Sigmund Freud came about in the 1900's and revolutionized dream theory basing it in the unconscious of the mind.

If you feel yourself having reoccurring or confusing dreams, dream journals are a great way to record them. "I really have weird dreams, and it's neat to have them all written down, it's a fun hobby." Said Junior Christine Stormberg about her dream journal.
